News and Notes, February 14, 2010
Scripture records Jesus’ deeds and is the witness of His power. These things are written that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, Son of God (John 20:20-21).
There is no other way to know and experience the love of Jesus than through His Word. Adult Bible class helps us to draw near Jesus.
Kurt Piepenbrink’s class will be finishing the Book of Genesis in two weeks. They will be starting the Book of Acts. Join them!

Midweek Lent Vesper Services.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17th (service at 7:00pm). For the following 5 Wednesdays (February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th and March 24th) we will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm for Vespers and a fellowship meal. It is very important to have hosts for each evening. A host sign-up sheet is in the narthex. Please consider joyful service to your brothers and sisters in faith. Volunteer to be a host for an evening.

Haiti Donations: The gold donation box is placed in the narthex on the counter for you to place your special designated offerings for Haiti relief. The first $1,500.00will go to Joyce Sierra to reimburse her for the medical supplies she bought and took to Haiti. Make checks payable to HTLC with “Haiti” written on the memo line. Thrivent is matching .34/dollar for contributions to Haiti relief.
